Hi All!

I'm building a timber frame inside an old building my wife and I are renovating into a coffee shop.  I need to lift several hundred pounds of partially assembled timbers from the floor to upright, and I'm thinking of making this my first hydraulics project.

Is there a good way I can incorporate building a power cube prototype as part of the project?  I have about $200 to put into the project, but might be able to round up an old engine and some scrap metal to add to that, if it means I end up with a flexible power source.  I need to be ready to lift around New Year.

Looking around, it seems that there's some info in the blog posts on the power cube, and the hydraulics wiki page, but the MicroTrac page has the most specific details (BOM and some diagrams).  Did I miss a set of plans, or have they not been released?  Even if I don't build one, I might be able to help with organizing the existing data as I do my costing…

Thanks,

Mark
