I think we should choose what the new domain for OSE should be.
I suggest we use osecology.org since it's shorter, easier to write and speak.
opensourceecology.org should just redirect users to osecology.org
What are your opinions?

I like osecology more, because of its brevity.

Yeah, http://www.opensourceecology.org is never-ending. It wouldn't be an issue if at least it would be readable. But it isn't: the "ceeco" ruins it a bit.

In my ears, osecology sounds more like o-secology, like in scientology.
I'd go with ose.org, if it's available. Or how about os-ecology.org ?

My thoughts:
opensourceecology.org – too long, too many e's
ose.org – not clear enough to people outside our circle (taken anyways)
osecology.org (short, good, but slightly ambiguous looking)
os-ecology.org (short, but I don't like hyphens)
openecology.org (short and clear) -what do you think? it doesn't reference 'source', but I think it defines our objectives and is easy to remember. thoughts?

Oh, I like openecology.org !
I think the pronouncability (is that a word) is important for domains. You can drop that domain on someone in a conversation and they can remember it without having to reach for a notebook
As a counterexample: I work for http://www.travel-iq.com – and people always tell me later they went to traveliq.com (which isn't us, and is closed).

I like openecology.org as well. I think we should move forward with that. If we want to keep thinking about alternatives…
I like these words
resilient
civilization
setup
kit
open
tool
construction
builder
What do you guys think about civset.org?

openecology.org is not bad, but it doesn't tell at all what the project is about.
I actually like more openciv.org
Wouldn't the owner give it (or resell it) to us?
